This project was a redesign of the full iRobot packaging line, including its vacuuming and mopping robots. The launch of the S9 Roomba kicked off the redesign, with the goal of creating a more premium look that would stand out from competitors and the existing Roomba packaging.
For the S9, the direction was to keep the layout simple and let the product be the hero. We used a dramatic image of the robot emerging from a sea of black with spotlight lighting, highlighting the new square front and UI features that differentiated it from previous models.
From there, we applied the same photography style, angle, and visual language across the full product line. Each SKU used tailored lighting to highlight its unique design and features while still creating a cohesive system across the shelf.
