Harland Highway Podcast Intro

This project was to re-design of theme intro for a comedy podcast called Harland Highway. His comedic style is surreal and over the top cartoon-absurb so the idea for the redesign the intro was an animation inspired by 90's cartoon theme intros that hit on that tone. The animation is a first person view of Harland driving down the highway interacting with all the surreal characters, environments and references as though they are being pulled straight from his mind. His variety of guests and conversations seem to go anywhere and this animation is intended to visualize that sentiment. Some imagery are jokes within themselves, like a "killer whale" gang member shooting a harpoon gun and others are just absurd combinations of funny imagery like Dracula riding a shopping cart filled with cobs of corn. These fast-paced bombardment of visuals is to tee the podcast the viewer is about to get into. Each week a new, fan-submitted, theme song is paired with the animation to give a fresh new feel of it week to week.
